We approached Chef Mark Southon last year to partner with us to create the next Angel Bay limited-edition burger patty. Mark is a Michelin Star chef that trained and worked in the UK, Europe and Australia. He now calls New Zealand home and has worked at a number of top restaurants here, as well as recently featuring in Club House Rescue on TV3 with All Blacks' greats Israel Dagg and Stephen Donald.

Mark wanted to create a ‘chefy’ burger that would complement the Angel Bay range. The journey to launching this delicious patty has been filled with fun, laughter and so many burger tastings. "The whole process was really interesting, there is so much R&D involved in getting a burger patty that is consistent in quality and texture with the rest of the Angel Bay family”. 

Then the flavour was the most important part, Mark wanted to create a new and exciting flavour that would stand out from the Angel Bay range and really bring his chef skills into the burger so that you can enjoy it at home.
The outcome was our new Limited-Edition Angel Bay Smoky, Tangy & Cheesy Beef Patties

Beefy, sweet, sour, smoky and cheesy - It's a balance of flavours that takes your taste buds on a journey, all hitting you at different times, the result a great tasting and enjoyable burger.
